Hi, what's new?
In this chapter, I'll tell you about climate change and how it relates to architecture.
In this chapter, I'll tell you about climate change and how it relates to architecture.
The architecture was created to
protect us from the inclemency of the climate and it has been adapted over
time, combining design and functionality. However, many times these
constructions have not respected the environment, destroying ecosystems, soils,
forests and much more just to obtain new materials and lands, producing more
carbon footprint, more greenhouse effect and, consequently, anomalies in the climate.
In this sense, both climate and
architecture affect each other. The climate in the design of buildings, either
to protect us from it or to use it in our favor, as in the production of
renewable energies, while architecture influences the climate by producing
greenhouse gases, which are expected to decrease each more time.
In Chile, consciousness has changed
little by little. An example of this is the use of the bicycle (replacement of
the car), the use of the gender bag (replacement of the plastic bag), the
community orchards, among others.
Undoubtedly, we are changing and the
architecture too, considering that climate is an important factor.
For this reason, the protagonist is now sustainability, produces less pollution
and thinks about the future, opening a world of possibilities in architecture
without compromising our environment in a negative way.
The end of this entry has arrived,
what do you think about it and what are you doing now to take care of our
environment?
It's nice to see more people every day using the bicycle in Chile c:
